What we do

Every year, The APEEF typically runs one major fundraising event every term - a Christmas market in the first, a parents’ dinner in the second, and a summer fair in the third; we also organise other activities such as the publication of the families’ directory, charity runs, book sales and cakes sales. We also help coordinate the parent representatives across the different classes in the school.

Every summer term, we organise a kermesse (summer fair), with many activities for children, parents and carers, running from face & nail painting to various games for all age ranges.

The Christmas market is an afternoon of festive family fun with stands run by local artisanal businesses for Christmas gifts and orders, as well as Christmas-themed activity tables for the children, a raffle, and sales of home-made cakes & biscuits.

Le diner is the largest fundraising event of the year for the APEEF, and last year, we broke a new record, raising £8,600 thanks to parents’ donations.

Every year, the APEEF publishes the school's families directory - a precious tool that not only contains very useful information about APEEF members, school staff and school activities but also allows us all to keep in touch, to organize playdates, birthday parties for our children.

Each year we are able to raise roughly £15k-£20k in funds from our family-based events that are used to support the cost of routine school projects and activities. Any surplus is held in reserve to help towards larger projects such as building improvements and IT purchases.
