Cake Sales and Book Fairs
The APEEF organises 2 or 3 cake sales and book sales each year.
Cake Sales
We rely on parents to bake goods or buy some from the shops, and we organise the sales in the school courtyard, usually on an afternoon just before school holidays (Halloween cake sale, Easter cake sale, …). The children love the cake sales as they become little customers, can choose their favourite goodies and buy them themselves. The big smiles on their faces say it all!
Book Fairs
We collect pre-loved and unwanted books from parents and from the school library and organise second-hand book sales in the school dining room. These are great opportunities to buy children books at very discounted prices
Fundraising
The money raised through those sales goes to the central APEEF pot that is used to finance activities or equipment for our children at school.
Volunteer Team
For each of these events, we need 1 volunteer parent to organise and coordinate the sale, as well as a team of 5-6 people to help sell on the day.
